We are saved through Christ alone. We are born into life in this world, and we must be born again into life in Christ. Faith in Jesus is the center point of our lives and flows through everything we do. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. We proclaim His good news through both our words and our daily example.
Prayer is foundational to our life in Christ and to our life together. We pray during every Sunday service and offer opportunities for individual prayer afterward. Groups also gather throughout the week to pray for our church and for individual needs. Immediate needs are shared through our email prayer chain, and our pastor and staff are available to pray with you during the week.
Our worship services help people connect with Jesus Christ, worship with humility, be renewed by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and understand the relevance of God’s ways in daily life. We worship through music, testimonies, video, dance, art, and preaching. Our music is mostly contemporary and also includes traditional hymns. Everyone is welcome.
Our preaching and teaching are intended to help us grow in faith, truth, and love so that we become more like Jesus. Sunday messages and weekly classes focus on what God reveals in the Bible about a life of faith and service. Sermons may explore a book of the Bible or a topic relevant to everyday life. We encourage everyone to read the Bible daily and bring it to our services.
The Christian life is a life of service. God equips every believer with what the Bible calls “spiritual gifts.” As we discover, develop, and use these gifts in His service, we honor God and fulfill His purposes for our lives and our church.
Grace-filled relationships bind us to our Lord and to one another. We seek to build genuine, pure, and lasting relationships rooted in biblical principles. The ways of Christ create and restore healthy relationships in marriage, family, friendship, church, and community—and, most importantly, with God. Christ connects us; sin separates us.
We believe that every person is made whole and complete in Jesus and is never alone when living in fellowship with His Spirit. Single people contribute powerfully and uniquely to their work, community, family, and church. We believe sexual intimacy is God’s gift within marriage between a man and a woman, intended to unite and bless them. We believe that sexual pursuits or teachings about gender outside this biblical understanding of marriage are incompatible with Scripture. We believe children are a gift from God, cherished by Him from conception.
Just as we seek to make Christ the center point of our lives, we encourage Christians from every faith tradition to do the same. We welcome opportunities to connect with churches and Christian organizations, support missionary work, and cooperate with local churches in shared ministry. This cooperation does not mean that we affirm every teaching or practice of every organization or denomination.
We want to be active in our local community so that we can have a positive influence for Christ. Jesus calls His followers to be “salt” and “light,” and we encourage our people to take part in community life. We hope our neighbors experience the love of Jesus through our contribution, our example, and the way we share our faith in both word and deed.
Our historic confession summarizes the biblical truths at the heart of our faith.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word; that it was written by people who were divinely and uniquely inspired; and that it is absolutely trustworthy and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully with the affairs of humanity, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was sinless in His life and made atonement for the sin of the world through His death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high-priestly intercession for His people, and His personal and visible return to the world according to His promise.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from God to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, and dwell within those who believe in Jesus Christ.
We believe that all people, by nature and by choice, are sinners, but that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” We therefore believe that those who trust in Christ as Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God’s presence, while those who refuse to trust in Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God.
We believe in the Church—a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated people are members. We believe that a visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried with Him in baptism and joined together for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper were entrusted to these visible churches, and that God has given them the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and enthrone Him as Lord and Master. We believe that human betterment and social improvement are products of the Gospel.
